If you read the blog earlier this week, you probably saw a sneak peek from Avery and Jeff’s Aspen engagement session. As promised, I am going to post more photos from their gorgeous session… Avery’s older sister, Ashley is a good friend of mine from Santa Barbara. I think we were destined to be friend. Her husband is a cook also, we both work in the wedding industry (she is an amazing Austin based hair and makeup artist), and when we were both in Santa Barbara we lived two doors down from each other before even meeting. Long story short, we became great friends, Ashley and Jeff moved back to Austin and we moved to Chicago… we still chat and hopefully will be able to visit soon.

I posted on facebook that I would be traveling to Colorado and would love to do some sessions while there. Ashley connected me with Avery who is currently living with her fiancé, Jeff, in Denver. They drove four hours to meet at this gorgeous location in Aspen for this breathtaking Rocky Mountain Engagement Session. They incorporated so many little things that are a big part of their lives – including their two adorable dogs. They have a Doberman and Miniature Pinscher, LOVE them!!! The dogs were so excited to be part of the engagement session.

Capturing images like these are why I love being a destination engagement photographer and destination wedding photographer. I am able to travel to beautiful locations and photograph fantastic couples like Avery and Jeff.
