Wedding Photography and Family Heirlooms

Two months ago, I went to Oregon to visit my lovely 86 year old grandmother, NanaZo. We had so much fun and you can read all about our Oregonian adventures in my recap blog post. My favorite thing from the entire trip is this photo we took together. This photo will last forever (on my hard-drive) but more importantly in the frame that I recently put it in. Heirlooms are different for every person and every family but this photo is now a family heirloom to me. Me and my favorite lady preserved forever in this moment of joy from an amazing trip that the two of shared. Just us.

Another heirloom that I left Nana Zo’s house with is a beyond gorgeous ring that she purchased for herself shortly after my grandfather passed away. I know that this ring was special to her because she wore it everyday for over 25 years. I am so grateful that you decided to share this family heirloom with me. I haven’t taken it off since I arrived in Oregon and don’t ever plan to. It is funny how things can connect you, to people, to the past, to life. My grandfather, Papa Zo, passed away before I was born but I feel the connection it had for my grandmother. I feel love… forever love. xoxo. I love you, Nana!
