The other day, a beautiful sunny day, I took Benny for walk and I found peace in the city: I finally felt like I was home. Obviously, not home in California, but a new home. A home for right now, a home for growth, a home for our little family. Moving to Chicago has been such an amazing journey. After a year and a half I couldn’t see myself anywhere else (for the time being). As I am sure you know by now, I am a California girl through and through. I was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California and moved to Santa Barbara, CA for college to grow. I, honestly, never thought that I would leave… but look at me now, calling Chicago home.

Strangely enough… I began this post to show you photos from my February escape to Santa Barbara… Funny how when you “just be” things flow and become something even better. Anyways I am still going to share a few 😉
