As a Chicago wedding photographer, I absolutely loved being part of this Intimate Wedding at Boarding House Restaurant. When I first met Preeya and Jawanza, we hit it off right away. They are such a sweet and genuine couple that conversation was easy and I loved the vision for their day. They wanted an intimate wedding with close family and friends who were invested in their marriage and lives. To keep the guest list small they only invited guests that they had both met and no children joined the event. I love this idea and when I get married it will definitely be something that I consider.
Preeya and Jawanza got ready together, along with her parents, at The Four Seasons Chicago. Preeya wore the same wedding sari that her mother wore at her own wedding over 30 years ago, it was a beautiful symbol of heritage, love and heirlooms. Jawanza wore a seriously handsome grey suit and together they were a stunning couple!
Jawanza’s younger brother married the two lovebirds in the cellar of the Boarding House, it was such a unique space and so fitting. After the short ceremony, we headed outside for a few portraits of the new Mr and Mrs Hughes.
Obviously, a night of fun and dancing ensued. I couldn’t be happier that you two chose me to be your Chicago wedding photographer. I wish you years of love and happiness in a beautiful marriage.
