As you may remember from my post last week, I ventured to California last month to spend some much needed time with my family and the sun. While there, I also did an anniversary session for a couple who has been married for ten years. It was essentially a Carmel Engagement Session, with a little snippet of their adorable children at the very end.

Jenny and Matt met while in high school, upon graduation she was going to have to move back to France where she is originally from. Being young and totally in love, they didn’t want to be separated so decided to get married at 18. In November, they will be celebrating their 10th anniversary and have two beautiful children. They may have been young, but when you know, you know!

“Still very much in love our hopes for the future, our beautiful children, and our love for the sea keeps us going strong.” – Jenny. (Probably the sweetest sentiment….ever!)

We started at Carmel Mission and then went to the beach. The light was absolutely perfect, as it usually is in California. When we arrived at the beach there was a bit of fog that came through a lone tree…

One of the best parts of this Carmel Engagement Session was that my dad was my trusty assistant. We drove around scouting locations earlier in the day and then he carried my bag, helped switch lenses and with lighting. It was such a great experience because he was (and pretty much still is) my biggest supporter in pursuing photography!
