It is officially engagement session season (and wedding for that matter), but now is the time for all of my fall couples to schedule their sessions. When I first talk to couples about an engagement session, one of the first questions is “where is your favorite place to photograph engagement sessions?” My response is always the same! The best place to do an engagement session is somewhere that is special or important to you and your story. This can mean we take photos in the Starbucks that you met at or the neighborhood that you live in. If you choose a general area with meaning, I can find beautiful light and capture unique engagement photographs.

Engagement sessions are so special and important. This time in your life is the time that you decided to move forward and commit yourself to your best friend, you said yes! And this should be celebrated and documented… your everyday life at this special time is so important. This adorable couple lives in Logan Square and always walk their dog around the neighborhood so it seemed absolutely fitting to photograph them in Logan Square. Dan and Esther are some of closest friends and while they aren’t engaged yet, it was fun to take some pretend Logan Square Engagement Photographs!
